SEASON ONE TEAM
Game Master / Co-Creator
JACK MATCHETTE
Jack is the Co-Creator of LEGENDS: The Superhero Roleplaying Game. His passion for game design comes from his love of playing games himself and he can frequently be found dying in video games, debating RPG mechanics, and hosting games nights with friends and family. He began working on LEGENDS because he wanted to share his joy and create something that would make people happy.
Jack is the Game Master for Season 1 of LEGENDS: A Superhero Story and takes great pleasure in thinking up new ways to torture the cast. His lifelong goal is to become a superhero himself and he aspires to develop the power of Flight. Until then, he continues to work in the VFX industry and some of his past projects include: The Eternals, The Mandalorian, and Spiderman: Far from Home.
Player / Co-Creator
CHAD MATCHETTE
Chad is thrilled to be part of this HEROIC journey! When he and Jack started creating the world of New Olympus, he thought it would be a fun project for them to work on together but it quickly turned into something EPIC! Chad started playing RPG’s back in high school and has enjoyed introducing them to both his kids over the years. Chad is an accomplished actor, director, and producer in the Vancouver theatre scene as well as the Co-Owner and Artistic Director of the Lindbjerg Academy of Performing Arts where he is living a lifelong dream of not only working in the arts but also teaching and helping encourage young people to express themselves and find their voice through musical theatre and dance. He is so excited to be able to work on this project with both of his amazing children, Jack and Emily, as well as his good friends Amanda and Daniel. Many thanks and much love to his wonderful wife Erin for her continued support and for putting up with all his crazy ideas :-)
Player / Editor
EMILY MATCHETTE
Emily is SUPER excited to be one of the players for Legends: A Superhero Story. She couldn’t be more proud of the work that her father and brother have put into the game and can’t wait for the world to get to know the heroes of New Olympus. A graduate of the Bachelor of Performing Arts program at Douglas College and the Musical Theatre Diploma program at Capilano University, Emily currently teaches dance and musical theatre at the Lindbjerg Academy of Performing Arts in Coquitlam with students ages eight to seventeen. She is also a player, producer and editor for the Tabletop Tiddies, which is an Actual Play DND5e podcast run entirely by women. Emily is a recently certified personal trainer and the owner of MatchFit Athletics. Select performing credits include: The Mad Hatter/Ensemble in SHREK the Musical (Align Entertainment), Ensemble in Mamma Mia (Arts Club Theatre Company), Millie Dillmount in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Exit 22), and Lou Ann in Hairspray (TUTS). Choreographer/director credits include: Peter Pan Jr (CTORA), Cinderella (CTORA), Draining the Swamp (Curious Creations), Ten Blocks on the Camino Real (Arbutus Studios) and Legally Blonde Jr (Lindbjerg Academy).
Player
DANIEL CARDOSO
Daniel is a Level 0 (or Level 1 if DnD is more your persuasion) RPGer. IRL he sits pretty firmly in chaotic good territory and favours balanced stats but tends to lack a little on the charisma and dexterity/agility. Or, if you needed to classify him another way he is a Slytherin with strong Ravenclaw leanings or vice versa depending on the day. He is extraordinarily (hey, I wanted to pick a word other than “super”) excited that Chad and Jack have asked him to join in this game and adventure. Outside of Legends he is an actor based in Vancouver and a graduate of Capilano University’s Musical Theatre program.
Player
AMANDA LOURENÇO
Amanda is SUPER thrilled to be one of the players of "Legends: A Superhero Story." A big nerd herself, Amanda has always found the world of TTRPG very intriguing and is so thankful that the Matchettes have invited her to join their team! She's a graduate of the Musical Theatre program at Capilano University, and currently works as a teacher for Lindbjerg Academy of Performing Arts. Aside from the arts, Amanda is also very passionate about Social Justice and has decided to return to school to study Law. In her free time, Amanda enjoys listening to podcasts, fan-girling over Avatar (TLAB and Korra) and embroidering for her friends. Select credits include: Wicked Witch/Ensemble in SHREK The Musical (Align Entertainment), Ensemble in 9 to 5: The Musical (CapU Theatre), Charlotte in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Theatre Under The Stars), Grushinskaya in Grand Hotel (Arbutus Studio) and Maggie Winslow in A Chorus Line (A Fighting Chance Productions).
Underscoring Composer
SAYER ROBERTS
You wanna talk power and responsibility? He’ll crawl all over that web of complexity. You wanna talk the trauma and psychoses of Bruce Wayne? Just try and riddle your way out of that one, it ain’t no joke. You wanna talk the Force? Get them midichlorians outa here, before Han shoots them definitely 100% first. You got D&D on the brain? Roll on up and fill your bag of holding with popcorn for some Bardic yarns. Sayer loves it all, and now he’s bringing that love to creating music to help tell these incredible stories....
